Join us tomorrow at IKAL, our Presidente Masaryk stockist in the Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City, for an afternoon with amazing mezcal drinks and the unveiling of our end of summer window display.

We are partnering with the delicious Mezcal San Cosme and will be juicing all 50 kilos of oranges that compose the window display. Ikal has created a curated playlist for the event and we will have a master juicer from the market joining us.

As you might have guessed, here at ALMA we’re big on food. Yes, Michelin stars are fine, but have you ever had curbside tacos? When we talk about food highlights we are trying to share our favorite places to eat, regardless of how casual or fancy they are. If they have good salsa we are in.


We have quite a lot of Tamales under our belt —figuratively and literally too. We have had them all, steamed in a banana leaf, filled with refried beans, slightly charred in totomoxtle leaves, savory, sweet, spicy and even sour...

We are happy to be part of the exhibition "A quien corresponda" curated by Inés Benítez and Edgar Rodríguez at the Kirkland Gallery in Harvard University. The exhibition invites Mexican designers and architects to showcase their work on a 0.0588 m2. surface in an American Institutional exhibition space. The format seeks to question exclusivity as a tool for legitimizing creative disciplines and manages to present an array of ideas concerning what design is in Mexico.
